Role title: Digital Marketing & Fundraising Assistant

Location: Burnell Square, Mayne River Way, Malahide Road, Northern Cross, Dublin 17 (Remote working will also form a part of the role)

Duration: 12-month graduate traineeship with the prospect of progression within Blossom Ireland on completion of the traineeship

Hours: 37 hours per week

Remuneration: €23,000 per annum

Blossom Ireland is seeking to add a creative and ambitious Digital Marketing and Fundraising Assistant to their team as a part of the For Purpose programme. This role will be based in Blossom Ireland’s office in Dublin and will also involve some remote working. The role provides an opportunity to start your career in digital marketing and fundraising with a progressive organisation that supports young people with intellectual disabilities.

We are passionate about ensuring that our young people are as prepared as possible for life as an adult. Our work has been recognised by Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, the Ireland Funds, Social Innovation Fund and Trinity College Dublin to name but a few. We operate to the highest levels of governance and we were recently awarded The Triple Lock standard by the Charities Institute Ireland.

 

In order to grow and increase awareness of the organisation, Blossom Ireland are seeking to add a Digital Marketing and Fundraising Assistant to their team.

Digital Marketing and Fundraising Assistant: 

The Digital Marketing and Fundraising Assistant will have a diverse role within Blossom Ireland. The graduate will play a key role in the implementation of Blossom Ireland’s marketing plan, which will include responsibilities such as coordinating Blossom Ireland’s social media, drafting press releases, producing Blossom Ireland’s newsletters, creating content and regularly updating Blossom Ireland’s website. This year, Blossom Ireland will be commencing its 10th anniversary campaign which the Digital Marketing and Fundraising Assistant will also have a significant role in.

The graduate will be a key player in enabling BI to reach its fundraising targets this year. This will include co-ordination and promotion of community fundraising events, keeping donors and prospects up to date on the impact of their donations, managing Blossom Ireland’s CRM system, assisting with grant applications and further responsibilities.

This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate with a degree in areas such as communications, marketing or a related background. We are searching for a creative and motivated individual to join Blossom Ireland’s team who will contribute to the organisation and develop throughout their traineeship.

Do you fit the profile we are looking for?

  • Third level qualification in communications, marketing or related areas
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Planning and analytical skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work on own initiative and also as part of a team
  • A high level of organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Creative, energetic and fun
  • Prior experience/knowledge of using Photoshop, WordPress, video editing tools and other communications/digital suites is highly desirable
  • Willingness to work outside normal office hours on occasion
  • Demonstrable interest in beginning a career in the not-for-profit sector
