Location: Claremorris, Co. Mayo
Duration: 9-month graduate traineeship with the prospect of progressing further within Sensational Kids on successful completion of the traineeship.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Remuneration: €18,000 per annum

Graduate trainees on the For Purpose programme receive one-to-one mentoring and support throughout their traineeship. The programme provides you with the skills, support and connections to start your career in the not-for-profit sector and develop your leadership potential! Sensational Kids is seeking to add a motivated and driven Development Assistant to its team as a part of the For Purpose programme.
This role will be based in Sensational Kids new centre in Claremorris, Co. Mayo and will offer the chance to gain an in-depth understanding of not-for-profit business development, fundraising and communications.
Sensational Kids is an award-winning social enterprise that has helped improve the lives of thousands of children with development needs throughout Ireland. The organisation has become a premier non-profit clinic for children with neurodevelopmental needs. Since 2009, Sensational Kids has directly supported 4,700 children from all over the country. Sensational Kids main objective is to promote the health and welfare of children with special needs and children in need of additional supports to enable such children to develop their full potential.
Sensational Kids is committed to providing affordable and accessible family centred clinical and educational services and products to children of all abilities through therapy, training and professional support that directly impacts lives. Sensational Kids is opening a Child Development Centre in Claremorris in 2019. To support the centre Sensational Kids are seeking to add a Development Assistant to its Claremorris team.
The Development Assistant will have a multifaceted role within Sensational Kids. The Assistant will support the opening of the Claremorris centre by promoting Sensational Kids services locally focusing on utilisation of early intervention services.
The Assistant will identify and explore new opportunities for the centre’s growth and contribute to fundraising initiatives undertaken over the course of the coming year. The Assistant will promote Sensational Kids social media across a range of channels and make those in the surrounding community aware of its new centre in Claremorris.
